東京赤坂ナイト１♪

12日(金)夕方から東京入りし、20時に赤坂のスタジオでダレン・クィンテットとご対面。
彼ら５人は、ジャズの宝庫、カナダのトロントからやってきた超一流ﾊﾞﾝﾄﾞなのだ。今回は新作CD「STRANDS」のプロモーションツアーのため、4度目の来日公演。そのゲストボーカルとして私にとっても東京デビューナイト。
会うまで緊張しながら一番にスタジオ入りして発生練習。「すぅ～ハッ、すぅ～ハッ・・・」
ホテルで大声で練習できなかったし、みんなが来るまでにギリギリ何とか練習出来た。
一通り「Nice to meet you! I’m Rie.」が終わってすぐリハやる。
私のキーだけ聞いてテンポをとったら自然に息の合ったセッションが始まった。
一応楽譜は用意したが、そんなの関係ねぇーらしい（笑）
アドリブ、ソロの打ち合わせを敢えて私からはせずに歌い始めたら、ちゃ～んと自然に順番に
みんながやってくれて「これがインプロビゼイションかー♪♪」なんて歌いやすいんだろう！
感動しました。いつもと違うCome Rain Or Come Shineが出来ちゃいました！楽しい！！
ま、そんな感じで緊張→感動に（笑）

その後はみんなでPubに出かけました（飲、飲、飲）
さ～て｢食欲の秋」と言うことで、飲んだ後はラーメン半盛りいっとくか～～
かなり気になる看板発見！
「昭和29年創業 中華そば 290円」 一ツ木通りの「幸楽苑」
名前がハッピーで値段もハッピーなので入ってみる。
「半盛りはないので残してくれたら嬉しいです。」と店員に笑顔で言われる。
なんてハッピーな店員なんだろう☆
すべてがちゃんとしてて美味しいーーー！！
これはリピーターになりそう☆
「幸楽苑」の由来が分かった気がする（笑）

<Tokyo Akasaka night 1>
I flew into Tokyo on Oct. 12th. I met Darren Sigesmund Quintet from Canada at the studio in Akasaka for rehearsal at 8 p.m. They came to Japan on new CD ” STRANDS” promotion tour. They are great musicians from Toronto.
I had been looking forward to having session with them and also my first gig in Tokyo.
They were nice and I enjoyed the improvisation a lot at the rehearsal.
Their improvisation was so wonderful that I could sing “Come Rain Or Come Shine”differently. I said to myself that this was the Jazz I was wanting to be part of. It was damn fun!
After that, we hit a pub and had a good time talking about music.
I found an interesting Ramen restaurant on Hitotsugi-dori.
The price of regular ramen is only 290 yen. Unbelievable!
The name of restaurant is KORAKUEN. The kanji means Happy Fun World.
The name and the price were intersting.
I tried it b/c I love to have ramen soup after drinking alcohol.
“Oishi～!” It was much more delicious than I expected. Unbelievable!
I will be a repeater. You should check it out when you are in Akasaka, Tokyo.
